Vagabond Lane

Been awhile since I've written/posted anything about my movie, Vagabond Lane, currently under construction as we speak.

First off, a lot of people are wondering what the deal is; why is it taking so darn long for this movie to get done?

Answer: I'm slow.

There's other answers as well, but that's the truth of the matter. SOME people think I'm not even done with the rough cut, however. That just isn't true. Granted, some scenes are incomplete and have yet to be fleshed out, but let's face it: ain't too exciting editing them action sequences when it gets right down to it. HOWEVER... I'm well into the audio work now, and I can even see a time when this movie will be done.

The best advice I've gotten about the film has been from TJ Johnson, however, whom has been assisting me on the edit:

"Will, all those other people? Those haters? They can all go to hell."

Oh yeah.

Yes, Vagabond Lane will be completed. Sooner than people might think. But it will be done when I (a) say it's done; and (b) am ready to release it.

It's always annoying when actors and crew are asking "when's the film going to be done." No doubt. (And yes, I was one of the crew on this film asking that same question.) But really, if you're going to do it right, you have to ignore everybody that you're not seeking out to give you constructive critisim on the cut, sound, etc. At least that's how I feel about it.

Nowadays people are bugging me about when I'm going to shoot a script I've let them read. I've shot enough scripts that weren't ready and now I'm finding it's probably better to be extra sure.
